Last week on the Welborn Creative Facebook page we shared a quick peek of a Winans design for the chocolate maker’s newest location. That design is quickly taking off as a refreshed brand for the local company and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
Winans has a rich history in Miami County, Ohio dating back to the late 1800s. The famous hand-made chocolates were introduced in 1961 when Max and Dick Winans opened Winans Carriage House Candies in Piqua, Ohio. The company has evolved into the Winans we know today which is owned and operated by Joe and Laurie (Winans) Reiser. Joe and Laurie carry on the five generations old, German family, tradition of quality chocolates handed down by Max and continue to innovate the Winans brand. Not only is Winans known for fine chocolates but now may be equally known for its coffees. Only the best green coffee beans are imported world-wide and craft-roasted daily in their local roastery. And it doesn’t stop there, the Reisers have traveled to South America on several occasions to establish Winans’ own cacao and coffee plants in the mountains of central Honduras.
Winans continues to be an innovative business while maintaining a top quality product and relationship-focused customer service. Welborn Creative is excited to partner with this great local company. Below is the refreshed Winans brand at the downtown Troy location in preparation for Mumford & Sons and the Gentlemen of the Road Tour. We’ll be enjoying the music this weekend with Winans in hand. How about you?
Maybe you’ve heard of it – Crossfit. To some, it’s a grueling varied workout that is completely exhausting yet, at the same time, rewarding and leaves the athlete wanting more. To others, it’s an insane cult-like group that speaks a foreign language (WOD, TABATA or AMRAP). Either way, it’s a phenomenon that has swept the nation the last several years and even hosts an international event, The Crossfit Games, to determine the fittest people on earth.
Crossfit has become a common place term in our house as well. Taking part in Crossfit helps make sure I don’t completely deteriorate sitting at a computer screen all day sandwiched between 3 hours of driving in the car. Which is why I was excited to help out our good friends with their growing Crossfit business, FitQuest. FitQuest delivers innovative and efficient solutions to modular gym set-ups (basically, they build equipment for Crossfit gyms – or boxes – as Crossfitters call them). And, even more recently, have begun a small gym of their own in Covington, Ohio utilizing FitQuest equipment. Keep an eye out for FitQuest, as the company continues to grow and have success you may see more of them in the Crossfit community.
The Montgomery Tree Surgery brand is taking shape. We’ve seen it on everything from trucks to baseball jerseys. Keep an eye out for it, you never know where it might show up. In the meantime, check out the new case study highlighting the work done for MTS.
Came across these Adidas ads today – very simple print ad, but very clever interaction. Enjoy.
